Center of Excellence for Aeronautics and Astronautics (CEAA) is a research entity focused on developing significant scientific research results and educational infrastructure in advanced aerospace technologies and space physics. CEAA was established in 2013 as a collaborative research effort between the King Abdulaziz city for Science & Technology (KACST) and Stanford University. Through its facilities located in both Riyadh and Palo Alto, the center aims to train high-caliber students and researchers to contribute heavily towards the academic community. The highly selective acceptance rate of approximately 1% ensures that CEAA obtains only the most promising and capable students who apply to the program. Over the course of a two year Advanced Training Program (ATP), CEAA gives its researchers a unique professional prospective by exposing them to advanced courses and outstanding academic faculty from world-famous universities such as Stanford, MIT and Cal Tech, to name a few. Each researcher is expected to spend time both at Stanford University and KACST while contributing their research results through conferences and journal submissions as well as giving tutorials and workshops sharpening their teaching capabilities. In addition, those who show substantial progress and potential are granted at the end of the training program full funding to pursue graduate studies at top tier universities. CEAA takes pride in the quality of researchers it produces, and as a result, it has had a great track record of placing them in graduate programs at top ranked universities all around the world
